Club Committee Meeting 11 June - POSTPONED

Hi All Due to the large number of committee members currently on holiday or otherwise busy on other things, and in the absence of notifications from the remaining committee members stating that they would be in attendance, the decision has been made to postpone the committee meeting due to be held t...

Today's Ride and BBQ - Sunday 28th April

Despite the unsettled weather this past week, today was kind to us and starting from Hatchet Pond we had a lovely ride around the Inclosures and the open heathland, and on the return leg had the pleasure of the sight and smells of bluebells in abundance in Royston Woods and the surrounding pastures....

Re: Please reply - BBQ after Hatchet Pond ride - 28th April

Count me in please.

Unfortunately I can't make a pudding to save my life.

Was there a suggestion in an email that the £5 would be a charity donation? If so, which one is proposed? I can always bring my wife's Cancer Research UK collecting tin?

Today's ride at Fritham

It was good to get back out on the bike in the Forest, and what a cracking day it was. The sun shone and the temperature was pleasant. I was joined by some club members eager to get out and ride but not to set any speed or distance records, and my stated aim at the outset was to ride at a sensible p...

Roger back riding at Fritham 17th February?

We have the next ride location at Fritham on 17th February. I am putting this one in my diary. I wanted to do the last club ride, but some of you will remember my problem with Raynauds Syndrome which leaves the fingers and toes going white and numb in adverse temperatures, so I had to change my arra...

Re: Christmas Meal 9th Dec 2018

Hi Eleanor

I am driving again so I can join in the meal (roast chicken, please) but I do not have the flexibility or strength in my shoulder to do a bike ride just yet.

Special mention for Jack Lawry

Jack Lawry has been a member for a while now and I guess that a large number of you will have met him on a ride at some time. Jack very kindly stepped into the position of webmaster when James Davenport stepped down around the time of the AGM last year. Since taking on the reins, Jack has continued ...

BBQ ride today - a big thank you

What a beautiful day; the sun shone magnificently but without the level of relentless heat that we had a few short weeks ago and it made for great riding weather. John Hawkins lead the group I was in and he took us on a varied and interesting route that took me back to paths I had not ridden for qui...

Injuries R Us

Well, I had an MRI scan a couple of weeks ago and last week I went to my doctor's surgery to get another steroid injection in the shoulder to relieve the constant discomfort. He declined to give the planned injection because the scan has revealed that the tendon that secures my supraspinatus muscle ...

Re: New Forest Recreation Strategy - have your say

Oh deary me. That set of questions was as badly put together as the EU referendum. How could anybody disagree strongly or otherwise to a sensible regime of management and development? Of course we all want people to take a sensible view of how the forest is managed. Of course you cannot sensibly wan...

Re: New Forest Recreation Strategy - have your say

Struggling with this. All I get is a 404 error code and we all know how helpful one of those is.

Where can I find it by drilling down from their home page?
